This year has been tough
Our operational costs are rising.
The need hasn’t slowed down.
It’s been an incredibly tough year, and at Rafiki Mwema, we’ve felt the weight. The relentless rise in the cost of living has pushed our running costs up significantly – wages, food, utilities, transport. At the same time, donations have dropped and several long-term sponsors have had to step away, through no fault of their own. But the children haven’t stepped away. Every single day, we provide daily trauma-informed care, safe housing, education, and unconditional love to children who have already endured more than most of us can imagine.
Right now, we’re simply asking for help to cover the basics – the monthly running costs that keep everything going. Your EOFY gift, however large or small, is tax-deductible and goes directly toward keeping those doors open.
We are their lifeline.
On our secure farm, we offer sanctuary to the most vulnerable children — those failed by systems, abandoned on nature’s streets. Without Rafiki Mwema, they have no one to turn to. We are also the only support for more than 100 children in our Rafiki Mwema/Residing Program living in the community.
