He lived with his Mum who was a working lady and he was abducted by a street man and imprisoned when he was only 8 years old. He endured hell and when he eventually escaped was sent to an orphanage for his care and protection before going to court. This orphanage didn’t understand the trauma he had been through and didn’t keep him safe. He endured beatings from the man who ran it and he kept running away. In court this evil evil street man who had abused him in the most horrific way, stood right next to this little boy as he had to give evidence against him. So close you could smell this evil man’s rancid breathe and the stale smell of sweat on his body – Our brave boy gave his evidence and the man was imprisoned for life. And then he went back to his life in the local slums where he cared for his mum and hustled to survive. This little boy had already seen his father knifed to death in front of him when he was six and lived his own hell – he was 8 years old.
He disappeared for many traumatic years until he arrived at our home and I have never been happier to see a face again in my life! he was 14 and the toll of his experiences playing the most horrific toll on his beautiful body.
He is a vulnerable warrior who has a strong mind. He is gentle kind and dresses with the most flare of anyone I have ever met and yet the other side of him is one of fear that shows itself as stubbornness and unwillingness to engage in life. He is a light that has gone out and we will be forever by his side holding a torch for him until he shines himself again.
