There are not many people of who I am in total awe, but one of them is our very own Sarah Rosborg.
I don’t know if you know – she may not have mentioned in – but she has just trekked up a mountain, Kayaked and slept in less than 5 star accommodation! For everyone that trekked for Elizabeth, you are the most beautiful, warm, courageous human beings, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Sarah has done all this, while in severe and constant pain – I don’t mean pain that a few painkillers will help, I’m talking life changing crucifying pain, both physically and mentally. Sarah struggles with pain on a moment to moment basis. I have seen her curled up in a ball not knowing how to breathe in. But she climbed a mountain for one of our girls.
I have been with Sarah when the demons in her head are hell bent on destroying her. I have been scared and helpless alongside. All I could offer was love and to be there. She had to fight the war herself. But she climbed a mountain for one of our girls.
Sarah has single handedly taken on the world and made them notice Rafiki Mwema. She has stalked celebrities until they wonder what their life was even about before Sarah arrived. And of course they loved her. And she loved them back and welcomed them to our ever growing Rafiki Family. And she climbed a mountain for one of our girls.
Sarah is my hero – not just today but for ever. She swears like you would never believe; she uses words that make me cover my ears and squeal like a girly. She is real, strong, passionate and the most amazing human ever. I love her. She is family. And she climbed a mountain for one of our girls.
Sarah must be superhuman. She conquers everything she tries. She is so friggin funny she makes me cry laughing. She is so passionate she makes me cry painful tears. She loves like no other. I am the proudest person ever. I am proud of her every day, but today she climbed a mountain for one of our girls.
