Most of the board members of Rafiki Mwema live in a small town on the North Coast of NSW called Lennox Head. We have a wonderful community who are constantly supporting our projects.
Most recently we have a lovely lady named Kristy who had been following Constance Hall and loved the Queen’s Tattoo Tribute that had gone wild on the internet. Milly from Rock of Ages Tattoo had also had a lot of ‘Queens’ wanting to come in and get the crown tattoo as well… So they got together and decided they would love to have a fundraising day for Rafiki Mwema.. where Milly would donate 80% of all money raised on Crown tattoos for the day would go to us!
There were loads of locals who came to get their crown tattoo by the super talented Milly and even some who turned up to see if they could get an appointment and were told that she was only tattooing Crowns so he went ahead and got one! What a king!
Milly said that in all her years of tattooing she had never done so many tattoos in one day! Milly and everyone who came along raised over $1,000 to go to our project and in particular this money is going towards setting things up for our new Kings who came to live with us.
