Things are pretty ok over in Kenya – something not easy to say when you are therapeutically parenting 66 children, many of them teenagers, so I guess our interpretation of ok may vary to yours!
It has been a very emotional weekend with one of our girls finally being safe to go home to her parents. She has been with us a long time and will be so missed by her sisters and our staff. We live as a family and as a family we are excited to see her ready and able to go home, but also sad that she is no longer part of our daily life. Our outreach team will visit her daily and then weekly until we feel she is settled at home, and then visits will become fortnightly until she is 18. I personally will miss so much about our lovely angel and remember how she moved from frightened and angry to a loving kind young lady
