Every now and then, something beautiful and unexpected happens that reminds us we are not alone in this mission.
Recently, an incredibly generous family reached out to ask if there were any specific projects we hadn’t been able to tackle—not because they weren’t important, but simply because covering our basic monthly costs is already a stretch. This moment of kindness caught us completely by surprise, and the impact it has had is beyond words.
You see, like many of you know from your own homes, sometimes things need fixing, painting, or replacing—but they’re pushed aside for essentials like food and electricity. We are no different—just on a much larger scale, with dozens of children to care for and multiple homes to maintain.
Thanks to this selfless family, we’ve been able to complete several long-overdue and deeply meaningful projects, including:
- Greenhouse Repairs – One of our oldest greenhouses was falling apart after years of wear and a recent storm. With your support, we’ve replaced the damaged sheeting so we can keep growing fresh, nutritious food for our children. As you can see, our greenhouse really needed desperate repair…

The repairs and new greenhouse is an amazing transformation and we cannot wait to start replanting!

- New Washing Machine for the Boys’ House – The old machine had reached its end after years of patch-up jobs. A new 12kg washer is now in place—reliable and essential for the mountain of laundry our growing boys create.

- Repainting Our Homes – The Kings Castle and Small Girls’ House were long overdue for a fresh coat of paint. We started with the Small Girls’ House, giving our girls a cleaner, brighter space to heal and grow.

- Three Months of Meals for Rafiki Mtaani – This support has ensured that over 2,500 meals have been provided through our street outreach program. Vulnerable children and families are receiving hot, nourishing food every day, thanks to your generosity.
We wish we could transport you to Kenya to see the smiles, the full plates, and the freshly painted walls. But instead, we hope these photos help you feel just how deeply your gift has been felt.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you. Your kindness has made a difference that will be felt every single day by our children and our team.
