At Rafiki Mwema, we are privileged to work alongside extraordinary individuals who pour their hearts into protecting and nurturing our children. This month, we are proud to honour a man whose dedication, humility and strength have made an unforgettable impact at Doyle Farm — Joseph Lemerdik.

Joseph is not just a member of our security team; he is a pillar of safety, reliability and compassion. As a proud Maasai warrior, Joseph embodies vigilance and courage. He is always present — often before his shift begins and long after it ends — ensuring the entire farm is secure, regardless of weather or time. His response to a recent electrical fire in the small girls’ house was swift and heroic, preventing what could have been a tragic situation.

Beyond his duties, Joseph is deeply loved by our children and respected by staff. Whether it’s training the security dogs, inspecting the fences, helping children safely to and from school, or offering a friendly smile, Joseph brings a sense of calm and trust to all who know him.

Staff members describe Joseph as hardworking, flexible, honest, kind, and always ready with a joke to brighten someone’s day. He maintains healthy boundaries, models integrity, and treats everyone with dignity and respect — from visitors to the most vulnerable children in our care.

Joseph, thank you for everything you do. You are a true guardian of Rafiki Mwema, and we are so grateful to have you as part of our family. Congratulations on being our Employee of the Month — an honour you so clearly deserve.
