Accountability

We take responsibility for making every donation count.

We are always working to improve our systems and using resources as efficiently as possible. We take responsibility for achieving measurable results and being accountable to supporters, partners, children and staff on our farm and the community in which we work.

Every donation counts

Your donations, sponsorship and support are what keep our doors open.

It’s thanks to hundreds of sponsors around the world that we can keep the doors of our farm open from month to month, keeping local people employed and do work in the community through our programs. This is also made possible through vital support from our corporate partners.

Rafiki Mwema makes sure every donation to us is invested to deliver the best possible outcomes for our children.

On average, this is how donations are used at Rafiki Mwema:

  • 73% is invested to benefit children through our health, education, child protection and humanitarian response programs, and through increasing public awareness of international aid and development issues.
  • 10% is spent raising the funds we need to deliver these programs.
  • 9% is spent on making sure we have the talented people, infrastructure and systems we need to manage and deliver our programs for children.
  • 8% is invested in commercial activities such as our retail store.

Read more about how your donation has helped us and how we use funds raised in our latest annual report.
