For the fourth year in a row, our Doyle Farm family was blessed with a magical Christmas celebration, thanks to the incredible generosity of the Bischoff family. Their kindness has ensured that our children experience the joy, love, and warmth of Christmas in a way they will never forget.
Christmas morning began with excitement in the air as our staff and older children got busy preparing for the day’s festivities. With all the necessary ingredients, decorations, and instruments in place, the small girls’ compound became the heart of the celebration.
Our teams were hard at work, each assigned specific tasks to ensure a feast fit for royalty. There was a special station for chapatis—always a favourite among our children—while others focused on preparing meat stew, chicken, roasted meat, pilau, and an abundance of fresh fruits. Snacks were plentiful, and the aroma of delicious food filled the air.
Meanwhile, our very own DJ, Teacher Kelly, set the mood with a fantastic mix of music, keeping our younger children entertained as the final touches were made to the feast.
Once all the food was ready, the children dressed in their beautiful new Christmas clothes, making the day feel even more special. The joy on their faces was priceless. Our director saw the abundance of food and extended an invitation to our neighbouring children, ensuring that no one was left out of this wonderful celebration.
Laughter and happiness echoed throughout the compound as we enjoyed our meals, drinks, and snacks. A highlight of the day was the Christmas cake, lovingly baked by one of our dedicated staff members. Every bite was savoured, and many of the children joked that the food was of a “5-star hotel” standard!
As the sun began to set, the day ended with full bellies, full hearts, and an overwhelming sense of gratitude. The joy, love, and generosity of the Bischoff family made this Christmas truly unforgettable.
