Our February Employee of the Month is an individual that gives his whole heart to our children. Committed to creating a new life for those that come into our care, he is passionate, kind and loving. And he is so deserving of this honour.
Congratulations Uncle Jack!
As Manager of Rafiki Jasiri School, Uncle Jack has been a member of our Rafiki Mwema family for six years. Ensuring our children’s education runs smoothly, he supports the learning process by monitoring progress, handling issues as they arise and being an all round superstar. Always happy to help, Uncle Jack doubles as school administrator and acting Manager when the GM is on leave. After all that, he then puts on his boots and acts as Rafiki Mwema’s soccer coach.
A well-deserved honour
Each of Uncle Jack’s nominations talked to his strong work ethic and character. Here’s what our Kenyan team had to say about theirFebruary Employee of the Month:
“Jack to me is more than my superior. He is the epitome of compassion and kindness. A hard worker, always ready to help and a shoulder one can always lean on. True to the mission of Rafiki Mwema, he always gives a listening ear to the children and the staff. He approaches every situation with utmost empathy. Always with a smile on his face, Jack has the true spirit of Rafiki.”
“Jack is a loving, industrious, straight shooter with a kind heart and a larger than life personality. Seeing him work everyday with the kids and his interaction with staff makes me want to work like him. The milestones he has cleared as our leader at the school are immense. The maturity and discipline he has brought to the boys through the soccer program is simply one to behold. They are much better because of him and you can see it everyday. As a member of staff, I look up to him for his leadership. He makes us feel like he’s one of us, not one above us. Jack is truly an amazing worker, friend, leader and father figure. Always ready to help out best he can.”
“He is a man full of good leadership skills. His work ethics are top standard in how he runs the school department. His love for kids is almost compared to none. He is well deserving.”
